Mondays 2.15pm - 5.15pm (3 hours with breaks)
A course suitable for those with some drawing or painting experience. We’ll learn about the animal skeleton and some main muscles (enough to know what the bumps and dips might be!), different body shapes, adaptations and movement, how to begin to tackle the textures of skin / hair / scales / fur / feathers / patterns.
We’ll use different pencils, graphite, Conté (including light colours on dark papers), charcoal and putty rubber, ink techniques with brush, pen, wash and resist.
There’ll be a choice of animal species to work from! A range of artists will be referred to including Victor Ambrus, Ralph Thompson, John Busby and Sarah Simblet.
